Susanna has been writing, devising and producing international projects, innovative performance and site-specific events for 25 years, working with world-class artists, producers and venues in a local, national and international context including; the British Library, Fakughesi Digital African Arts Festival, Roundhouse London, Canal and River Trust, the Royal Court and Soho Theatre.
Susanna has just become Writer in Residence at 101 Arts, a unique creation space for outdoor arts sited on the former crusize missile base at Greenham Common.
She was Creative Producer for Create Kings Cross and the Arrivals Programme, which celebrated the opening of St Pancras International with thirty-six projects happening within the station, railway lands and heritage buildings undergoing redevelopment. Director of Shoreditch Fringe and of Croydon Summer Festival and has worked for the Arts Council England, Mayor’s Office, and the British Council Sub-Sahara Africa Team.
Susanna began writing professionally with a comedy trio in the nineties and has since written and performed under many guises including, Kate Irate and the Piquant Poet. She was a resident poet at Asparagasm pop up dining club and commissioned for the Knowledge Festival, Oxford House with her one-woman site-specific show ‘The Lift Attendant.‘ She has written short stories, edited cultural reports and articles and was recently published in an anthology ‘Letter To My Younger Self’ with Booker Prize Winner 2019 Bernardine Evaristo.
Susanna is a recent graduate from Brunel University London where she was awarded a distinction for her MA in Creative Writing (Short Fiction and Screenwriting.) She has a screenplay in development, runs Creative Writing workshops and when not writing, Susanna can be found cycling around East London on the hunt for inspiration!
